TASTE Catering & Events proudly offers to host events in the beautifully designed spaces of our sister businesses, TASTE, in each of their nine restaurant locations in Coastal Virginia and Richmond. The bright, contemporary spaces are available to rent both during and outside of standard business hours.

Our cafés are not intended for full-service catering with on-site culinary staff. For private events hosted within TASTE locations, we offer chef-prepared, drop-off catering as well as staffing for setup, cleanup, and replenishment to ensure a seamless experience.

FAQs

  • We do not charge a rental fee. To host your private event at a TASTE location, there is only a food & beverage minimum and staffing fee.

  • While our TASTE cafés are not designed for full-service catering events with on-site culinary staff, our TASTE store locations can accommodate private gatherings during or outside of regular business hours.

    For these events, our TASTE Catering & Events team provides chef-crafted, drop-off catering menus, along with staffing for setup, cleanup, and replenishment to ensure a seamless experience.

    If you’re looking to host a larger or more complex event that requires on-site chefs, plated service, or bar staffing, our team would be happy to recommend one of our sister venues better suited for full-service catering.

  • The food & beverage minimum is the amount that we kindly request our clients to commit to spending on catering services. It is based on the date and time of the event and is subject to the location’s seasonality and peak/off hours. We determine an event’s food & beverage minimum using sales history data.

  • Yes, we offer a 10% discount on cases of wine and multi-packs of beer, and tiered volume discounts for catering orders over $1,000.

  • Yes, we offer rentals of various types of catering equipment, linens, and tableware to suit your event needs. In addition, we have many preferred partners with whom we would be happy to connect you for any rentals we aren’t able to furnish.

  • We would be happy to work with you on a menu for any needs you may have.

  • Our team will gladly guide you through menu creation for your event, but in general we recommend 8-10 pieces per person for a light cocktail hour and around 12-15 pieces for heavy hors d’oeuvres.

  • Contact the team at your preferred TASTE location and share with them the date, time, estimated guest count and type of event you would like to host there. Based on that info, we will determine the food & beverage minimum and staffing requirements. To book your event, we require a deposit of 25% of your f&b minimum, which will be applied to your catering order total. We will then work with you to create a menu and provide everything you need to make your event a success!
